Make the Most of Valentine’s Day When You’re Single

I can't believe I even hesitated at posting this, however society has a way of making you feel just like poop if your single. The entire holiday is after all geared for couples and couples only. BUT why should it be? Over the years I have grown so much in learning who I am as a single mom, as a business owner, a friend and so much more! The single years have been with me for a little over 6 years now, since my divorce. First few years were always the hardest and not going to lie, some holidays there is still something missing there. However I am stronger now. Maybe your newly single with this holiday approaching us fast. Here is my personal take on how to make the most of your Valentines day, single edition.

Celebrate it like your not single.

Do all those things that you wish you were out doing on this day.
Wear a cute outfit, do your makeup and hair and go out!

Go to one of your favorite local places to eat, go see a movie you have been wanting to see.

I know a lot of you are thinking, yea ok alone? I'll look silly.. Who cares? Go out and enjoy the day girlfriend! Try something new and different, take that leap and dig deeper into YOU.

Friends are great aren't they? Specially those who are also single! Share this day with your closest girlfriends/friends. Go out and have some fun together.  Have a great day/night

Treat yo self. Buy yourself something nice. A jewelry statement piece, a dozen Pink roses, a box of decadent chocolates, a new soft warm blanket, a new inspirational book. Anything to gift yourself and lift the spirit is great!

You don't have to go anywhere or do anything, honestly.
Why not just stay home and cook a amazing dinner, or order take out.
Light some candles, take a warm bubble bath and just chill.

Enjoy the fact that you don't have any pressures of a relationship and you get to do whatever you want. Have fun and Happy Valentines day to all you single ladies out there!
