In our household the weekends are dedicated to family time for Caleb and I [dad has to work every weekend], so I googled some ideas for a bit and found a serious gem! It was out in the country about 1 hour away from where we live, all farm land. Its a farm owned and operated by a family called sunflower farms, more info here. If you live in the Denver/Brighton/broomfield area this is a MUST. I have done a lot of things here in CO and this in my top 3 favorite places I have been to here in the states. A slice of heaven and just brings back what it feels like to be in the country again [I was raised in country]. so nice to be away from the city!!
there were tons of things to do there, we literally spent HOURS exploring. Some of the things they had at their fram home were: ziplining for kids, pony rides, you can feed goats, tree houses 3-4, climbing nets, campfire roast marshmellows, tire swings everywhere, hammocks everywhere, hay maze, swings, basketball court, water play area, tons of shade trees and places to picknick. Really cool animals like: peacocks and babies!, chickens, roosters, dogs, kittens, horses, goats, lamas, turkeys, rabbits, turtle etc. We will deff. be going back again here in the fall, wonderful place to be!
