Pumpkin Patch // Anderson's Farm Colorado

My parents came to visit and we did a few Fall activities, first the mountains and then we headed over to Anderson's Farm here in Colorado. They have one of the best pumpkin patches I have ever seen! Large ones, that are real with pumpkins still in the vine. One of ours we had to twist off the vine, its real. I have something against these brick stores that sell pumpkins out of a box or in a small area they say is a "patch", its not a patch! Rant over, ha!
So we had fun and we will return every year to enjoy everything this large farm has to offer

They have one of the largest mazes in Colorado, we didn't go into the largest but did the smallest

Isn't it beautiful? I love the ruggedness of it all

In the wagon headed back, all the pumpkins were picked

Pumpkin Picking at Andersons Farms

andersonfarms is the Hot spot to be for Fall family fun and the place to go for the you pick it pumpkin experience. This is the second year we have attended and it never disappoints. The wait is around 45 minutes to get it, but totally worth it. Lots of fun things for the kids to do. Face painting above, kids bike racing, giant climbing spider wed, playgrounds, food vendors, mineral mining, mazes, zombie paintball and pumpkin patches. We spent hours here and picked out two of our pumpkins

Pumpkin Patch

One of my favorite things about living here in Colorado is the fall time, the colors are simply breath taking. Enough to inspire you to pull over and just take it all in and thank God for the canvas painting. We went to a local farm here in Colorado that had a beautiful pumpkin patch, hay ride, kids activities and more! Such a fun day for us two

Pumpkin Patch [Pumpkin Pickin!]

Pumpkin Picking
It has been a few years since we went to a farm and hand picked our pumpkin and our first time to actually cut one off of the vine! David, Caleb and I worked it out that we would have a family fall day today, most times its just Caleb and I and takes some special planning to get my husband to come along as well. He works crazy hours and works ALOT, so today was nice for us all.

I book marked this farm months ago due to the good ratings, they had three separate places to pick your own pumpkin and it was a flat rate of 6$ no matter how big or small you got it. Hubby picked out the perfect jack o lantern style one and him and Caleb got to "saw" the vine off together. Gorgeous day, no snow!

After picking out or pumpkin we headed near David's work place and found a nice little trail, Caleb and I collected mini pine cones and colorful changed pin needles. Little things we don't get to see and appreciate in the city.

Orange/Warmth [Nurture Photography]

Orange/Warmth [Nurture Photography]
A pumpkin patch that we went to headed a little closer to the mountains, last week. Acres of land with Orange pumpkins.

Found a tree here in the City that had nothing but the brightest beautiful Orange berries I have ever seen! Then the same day we went to the pumpkin patch we took a small nature walk near my husbands work place.

Up close, top of a princess pumpkin . First time I even seen these, they were so cute and short!
